Our client is PE backed manufacturing business with exciting growth plans.  They are now looking to  recruit a commercially focused, strategic and process minded CFO who will participate as key member of the executive management team.  This is a broad role responsible for overseeing company operations, including Finance, HR, Legal and IT.


  • Ensure overall leadership of company accounting and financial management function underpinned by effective financial controls
  • Formulate financial plans in accordance with the strategy determined by the Board including the updating of the current strategy
  • Develop KPIs that support the company’s management and development
  • Ensure accounting policies comply with relevant accounting standards and that company policies are up to date and followed
  • Oversee preparation of statutory and monthly management accounts, including cash and performance forecasts
  • Oversee 12 month rolling P&L and cash flow
  • Highlight trends in revenues, margins and costs and suggest actions to address
  • Manage and develop key relationships with the company’s bank, investors and auditors
  • Ensure compliance with investor arrangements
  • Lead the scoping, selection and implementation of a new, business wide ERP system
  • Ensure effective maintenance of internal IT systems
  • Overall responsibility for all HR matters, including employee contracts
  • Maintain appropriate company policies and insurances including Professional Indemnity
  • Ensure effective company-wide communication
  • Company secretarial duties



  • Professionally qualified accountant
  • Hands on experience with multiple stakeholders, ideally PE
  • Prior experience of successfully leading a finance function during periods of fast-paced growth, including systems implementation
  • Manufacturing experience is essential
